The Pros and Cons of the GPS Locator on Kids
Times nowadays are always compared to the yesteryears. Parents always look back to the times when life was a lot simpler and when the streets were safer for children. How they long for those times! Lifestyles are continuously changing. The cost of living is ever rising. This is the reason that it is very common to see households where both parents are working and busy earning a living to be able to sustain the ever growing demands of raising the family. Who will look after the young children while both parents are busy at work? The GPS locator is the answer to this.
The GPS locator is the convenient solution to the parents’ problem of knowing where their kids are all the time. The GPS locator can be placed on the child’s person, like his wrist, or clipped on to something he takes along every time, like his backpack. Then with the computer, the parents can track their child’s whereabouts.
Benefits of the GPS Locator
The GPS Child Locator is a model of the GPS locator that parents can look into. For the busy parents who are tied up in the office, this device can tell them where there kids are anytime with the click of a button. The child can wear the GPS locator on his wrist like a watch.
Aside from being able to locate the child at any time of the day, the device has other functions. It has a built in pager so that the parents can send messages to their children. In case of emergency, the child just has to push a button to get connected to 911. Moreover, the device has a locking device only the parents can unlock; the child cannot remove it by himself.
Disadvantages of the GPS Locator
Even though many heap praises for this gadget, there are still others who are opposed to using it. Parents should personally look after their children and not be reliant on any gadget to do this task. It is their responsibility to take care of their children. But how can this be done with both parents at work?
Many consider a GPS locator an invasion of the child’s privacy. How can trust be ingrained in young children when they feel and think that they are not trusted because of all the monitoring they have to endure with this device? Parents argue that this is for very young children who still do not know about the concept of privacy.
And how do you expect teenagers to agree with the use of this device? Of course, they will vehemently disagree with the idea. It can only be used for small children so parents will be ensured that they are not in places they ought not to be.
It is an ever changing world! The advances in technology come in leaps and bounds. Many parents are left with no choice but to leave their children at the mercy of science and technology. So with this GPS locator, while busy at work, they can be assured that they know where their children are any time.

Easy to use, excellent route selection. Quick and non-annoying recalculate route selection works well.
Tested it with local shortcuts and was surprised at the unit’s ability to find fast and short routes rather than heavy traffic feeders.
Talk ahead and turn reminder nice without too much annoyance. Overall excellent price and quality vs. units looked at in it’s class.
